Figured a lot of the families on both my husband Joe's side and my side came down the Old Federal Road into Georgia and Alabama and possibily into Mississippi. Oh yeah the name of the Book I bought was "The Federal Road through Georgia, the Creek Nation, and Alabama, 1806 - 1836". by Henry DeLeon Southerland, Jr and Jerry Elijah Brown. I bought it thru Amazon.com along with the book "Reprint of Offical Register of Land Lottery of Georgia, 1827.. And while I am talking about this book, I found lots of wrong spelling of my McGlauhon clan while searching word for word thru the book for misspellings, so just because you don't see it in the index doesn't mean it isn't there just spelled wrong.
