(In the marriage book my ggrandfather's first > name is spelled Morridy.) Do you know if Solomon was the father of William > Wright? Greetings Jeanette, My Wright books do not have a simple index. So checking these things is next to impossible. I'm not even sure which Solomon Wright donated the land for New Prospect Church. This is what I do know...according to the records of George Warren Wright: Solomon Wright, Jr. was born in 1753. In 1786 he married a Reynolds (Delilia?) in Darlington County, South Carolina. He is buried in the Wright's Chapel Cemetery in Henry County, Alabama. His children were all born in Darlington County, South Carolina (with the possible exception of his first son)....and many of these children moved to Henry County. Children: John, Ezekiel, Spenser, Charity, Miriah, Levin, William, Henry, Sarah, Gillis, and Lydia. (the William Wright mentioned above was born in 1797 in Darlington, S.C.) I have no idea if this helps...but here's hoping, Steve
