John, You might consider looking at other regiments. Following the battle at Chickamuaga, Hilliard's Legion was disbanded. A larger number of the men were taken to form the 59th and 60th Ala Inf rgts. A smaller number, about 300 were used to supplement the 23d Bn, Ala Inf (Sharpshooters).
