John Starling and his son Solomon moved to Henry county about 1825. John died in Henry county sometime between 1830 and 1840. He is listed on the 1830 census with several minors who I believe are his grandchildren. He is not there in 1840. I think that he is buried in a neglected Starling Cemetery where Solomon and Sussannah Strickland Starling are buried.(just heard of it never seen it) John is the son of John Starling who left a will dated 1820 in Columbus county NC. John Jr. was probably born in either Northampton county NC or in Robeson county NC. I Have more information if you are interested. The STarlings in Pike county AL descend from Henry William STarling another son of John Starling and brother of Solomon. Henry moved to Pike county around 1840 and John owned land in Pike county, don't know if John ever lived on it.
