Linda, Sorry, afraid I can't help; went back and checked ny survey notes and all I had copied was that information from the Confederate marker; I guess I must not have been paying attention. I don't have a muster roll for the 1st Ala Vol so cannot verify one way or the other. His b. date on the marker is Oct 10, 1827 but a descendant told me it was 1832; may have been you; he was the son of Thomas and Nancy Stewart Griffin; m.
