Pat WELCH, By chance are you doing any WELCH research?? The reason I ask, George W. WELCH was named one of the administrator, (along with his son Joseph John GRIFFIN) in the Will of Archibald GRIFFIN, Coosa Co. Wetumpka, AL. He wrote his will in 1837, and died in 1838. He had sons' Hardy, Joesph, Bennet S. They all had military rank, Colonel to Lt. Colonel (except for Joseph, so far). My direct line Thomas GRIFFIN and Nancy Stewart moved into Henry Co. AL (Lawerencevill area), about 1837. They and their children stayed in this area. Thomas' father is my BRICK WALL--General W. GRIFFIN! I am 'thinking' there may be a link with this Archibald and General W.--? A, General W. GRIFFIN bought land in 1843 very near Wetumpka AL! This George WELCH, as one of the administrators, should, or would have been a relative (or maybe a lawyer)--? Any insight, you, or anyone on the list, could supply would be greatly appreciated! At this point I am 'grasping' for any links! Thanks, Linda
