DNA testing is now complete on our Henry County Starling male. At this time there is NO match to any other Starling being tested. You will recall that this was a 37 marker test through Family Tree DNA. We do know that we DO NOT match the lines of Elisha Starling and Margaret Millnor , their son Seth Starling of Sumter County SC; Levi; James Stirling of CT; other Starling lines. The information for all lines being tested can be viewed at: http://www.stirling-dna.info/ Our Starling male’s results are: 33/37 markers with surname Lapworth; 23/25 markers match with the surnames of Sanchez; Head; two under Jackson; Henry; Livingston; Nickels; Chandler and Remirez (MacGregor). Remirez (MacGregor) is our best lead at the moment. He is of the MacGregor/Stirling line. Interestingly there are quite a few Stirlings who match and are involved in their study. The markers tested indicate a relationship. That time frame is unknown as of now. Unfortunately Remirez was only tested on 25 markers as opposed to our 37 markers. I would upgrade his test but have done all I can afford for the moment. Upgrading cost is $99.00. On a happier note, no one to my knowledge has yet to prove their line to Issac.
