My Kirkland was a first cousin of Lame Ben, their fathers were Caleb, and Moses. Who were brothers. My Colonel Benjamin KIRKLAND was born 5 Apr 1794 the eldest child born to Caleb and Sarah Ransom KIRKLAND. his daughter Mila married Dr. Jon Edward PRICE these were the grandparents of mother's grandmother OATES her Daddy's mother. Mila and Francis Marion KIRKLAND were second cousins. Francis Marion was the great-grandfather of Norma Ann MCGILL of Birmingham, Alabama. Norma's father was Coy KIRKLAND. Her grandfather Harry, the son of Francis Marion. Lame Ben would be her greatgreatgrandfather.
