She died in Dothan, Alabama, date unknown and cause unknown. George next married Annie Elizabeth Cooley, Stella's sister. It was the second marriage for both. They had 5 children. Annie died 23 December 1978, Auburndale, Polk Co., Florida. The death in a fire might come from younger sister, Willie Alice playing near a fire in Cowarts, Houston Co., Alabama and her clothing catching fire 17 November 1904. She was six at the time.
