James Robert Hicks was Bernice's father and brother to my ggrandfather Merity (probably Meredith) Hicks. They lived in the area where Bernice's family lived. I have met Bernice's son and attended a Hicks family reunion in (right now I can't recall the date.) Know it was late 1990s. Were you there? Frank and his cousin put it all together for us and it was really nice. Jeanette
