Perhaps someone will be able to sort this out, or help me out. I've known all along that there were two Jeptha Perryman's born about 1837 - and I've naturally assumed my Jeptha Vining Perryman, who died in the Battle of Atlanta, was the son of Jeptha V. Perryman born 1798. However, looking at the 1860 Census, my Jeptha is married and living in Henry County with a daughter - and in Conecuh County is Jeptha, also age 22, is living in the household of Jeptha Sr. Now...what I'm wondering is if my Jeptha, who married Mary Emeline Hall, is actually the son of Matthew Thomas Perryman, and I've been wrong all along.
