Hello, As stated earlier, like Genie, my husband is a descendant of Randolph "Randal" Blackshear and Kathryn Anglin. I also have that marriage certificate with her name as Caty Aunglin and have came across that spelling quite often. I do know that they did marry in Putnam County 08 January 1812 but did later live in Twiggs County. Twiggs County is where they lived when they left Georgia and moved to Henry County, Alabama. They were in Henry County, Alabama by 1823. Even in 1810 Jones and Baldwin Counties were located between Putnam and Twiggs. The same held true in 1820 and 1830. Randolph & Kathryn were living in Twiggs County, Georgia in 1820 where he drew in the land lottery listed in the Jefferson Militia District. There was a Henry Anglin that also drew at the same time in that same district. I have some information that I received early on that Kathryn was probably the daughter of John Anglin and Mary Jones. After getting that information I lost a computer and do not have the source. I apologize to the person that shared this informatioin with me. That incident taught me to back up often. I have written on a sheet of paper that John Anglin was born about 1740 in Orange County, North Carolina and Married Mary Jones about 1772 in Orange County, North Carolina. I have notes that their children were Elijah, Susannah, Nathan, Mary, Henry, John, and Kathryn. I also have on that note that these children were born in Wilkes County, Georgia. As I indicated I do not have in my possession any sources or proof that this is the family of our Kathryn. Does anyone know anything about this family? If so I would love to hear from you. My husband's line runs from Randolph and Kathryn as follows: Randolph Blackshear and Kathryn Anglin (Kathryn was dead by 1840 in Henry Co., AL) Matthew Tolbert Allen & Frances Mourning Blackshear (Youngest child of Randolph & Kathryn) John Homer Adams & Martha Ella Allen (Youngest Child of Matthew & Frances Mourning) John Benjamin Adams & Pearl Turner James Hugh Adams & myself The first of these generations to leave Henry County, Alabama was John Homer Adams and Martha Ella Allen. They arrived in Texas before 1890. We would certainly like to hear from any of you that can help us in our quest of the family of Kathryn Anglin.
