I have been researching the family of William Calvin OATES. Two children are named on the Register of his father's Bible. Josh and Claudius. I have identified Josh's mother as Lucy Hickman. Does anyone know if she were the mother of his son Claudius. Josh moved to Florida, and became a doctor. Also does anyone know how I can contact the descendants of Governor Oates black children.
