I am sending this in case you did not receive a previous reply I tried to send. I think you are right in thinking that is the Margaret. John's first wife died a few days after the birth of one of her daughters and John took her body back to AL to bury it near his father's grave in AL. After he returned to MS, he married Margaret. They moved to LA when his brothers moved there. John and Margaret adopted a son. John eventually deserted Margaret and their adopted son. Margaret apparently became mentally unstable and died in Oak Grove, LA. When John deserted her, he returned to AL and that is where we have lost track of him. My family history books are now published and I am no longer actively pursuing John's tracks. Thanks for the contact.
