They were full blood Creek Indians and lived in what is now Eastern Geneva County, AL. I would like to know the story on this couple. Ward born about 1796 married Elizabeth English (my information which may not be correct says he was listed as half Creek Indian (not sure where listed) and Elizabeth English was listed as full Creek Indian. ) I have one son John Jackson Ward born about 1844 he married Susan Wynn born 1825 Georgia. John Jackson and Susan had 15 children (I don't have those names) They did have Franklin "Frank" Jones-Jackson Ward (not sure about his middle name) born Sept 15, 1855 died Jan 11, 1947 married in 1890 Mary Elizabeth Hughes born July 2, 1869 in Eunola, Geneva County, AL died May 16, 1940 Eunola, AL daughter of Jefferson Hughes (1848-1911) and Elizabeth Davis (1847-1911) Frank and Mary Elizabeth had 5 children that I know of: Shelley Alto Ward born Feb 3, 1896 died June 11, 1972 (have a little more on Shelley) Frank H. Ward born 1891 Clyde J. Ward born Sept 1892 Bessie M. Ward born May 1894 Flarrie E. Ward born Dec 1898 Franklin "Frank" Ward was the tax collector for Hartford, Geneva County, AL at sometime and is buried with his wife in Eunola Cemetery. Hope this helps. Ann Robbins
