Surnames: Howard, Flowers, Beard Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YS.2ADI/1183.2 Message Board Post: Through the use of dowser rods (divin' rods) in 2000, an unmarked grave was located next to that of Charlotte Flowers Howard Beard in the older section of the Camp Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. This is one of nearly 100 unmarked graves found in this cemetery established circa 1849 when the original church, the Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church was established. The name was changed to Camp Spring Church in 1854. The supposed grave of E. F. Beard is on Charlotte's right side. Her tombstone information is: Charlotte Beard--February 13, 1890--abt 60 years old--wife of E. F. Beard. Charlotte Howard married E. F. Beard Janaury 9, 1866. The Howards are an old family in the Camp Springs Community. Would like to know where the name of Flowers became a part of Charlotte's name. There are several Flowers buried nearby to her grave.
