They lived for a short time in FL because census' have some children born there. 1850 census the are in Dale Co., 1860 appears Frances is a widow with children Harriet Ellen, Elizabeth Ann, Indiana (female), Thomas and Henry. Says the girls were born FL and sons AL. It has been said by other researchers that Thomas R was son of a Thomas R, but trying to prove. The 1860 census has Matthew Knight age 62 b. SC and Pleasant S wife age 58 b. SC and son Mathew Knight age 16 b. GA. This is what lead me to assume these could be Frances' parents. I am trying to learn what became of these children. Henry moved to TX at before 1900 and possibly Thomas. Has been said that Elizabeth married a Henry McGriff but not proven as yet.Because Houston Co. was formed in 1903 from parts of Dale, Geneva and Henry Co. will post on all boards.
