Talking about a long shot in the dark ... I have a Sexton in my family! He was married to my Dad's sister. His name was Piney Sexton and buried with his wife, Elizabeth Sarah Blankenship Sexton, in Lucerne, Al. There were no children from this marriage. I think they married in Elmore Co, Al, but lived in Montgomery, Al, until their later years when they moved to Luverne. I was told he had a brother down there. Heard also that back when they had carnivals and all he worked many of those. This probably won't help you but it always nice to pass on what info we each may have.
