That Wesley Peebles was born in 1856, after Wiley Peebles and Eliza Ann Ward had gone to Texas. In 1950 a descendant of Riley Peebles (twin brother of Wiley) went from Texas to Alabama and interviewed Alcie Jane Wilkinson Peebles, widow of William Wesley Peebles. Her family Bible recorded that William Wesley Peebles was born 4 Nov 1856 and died 30 May 1941 (the same dates are in the Abbeville Cemetery listing for Wesley Peebles) and was the son of William Peebles and his second wife Nancy Coxwell Blankenship. Wiley Peebles was the son of William Peebles and his first wife Elizabeth Coxwell, so Wesley Peebles was the half-brother of Wiley Peebles. Bill Peebles
You are right I did not know what I was thinking by saying she was a GAMBLE. I was thinking of Martha GAMBLE and Robert KENNEDY.
