    3. Did you check the 1850 census. He would have been too old to have children by the 1820s if he were born in 1777. All of his children were born in the late 1810s and 1830. He had twins born 24 Jun 1822 and a son born in 1820. His children were Maria, Eliza, Elias J., William, Permelia, John J., Mary Ann, and Edward J. Edward J. was born in 1828, John J. and Mary Ann were born in 1822, Permelia in 1819 William in 1816, Elias J. in 1813, the others between 1810 and so forth. He would be too old at this time to be born in 1773. The History of Henry County Alabama shows him to be born in 1784.
