After a recent visit to Henry County, I finally connected by gggrandfather, John W. Brown to his father Willis Brown. (Willis was married twice, first to Mary (unknown) and second to Elizabeth Armstong.) John W. was married to Julia Ann Messer on March 10, 1881. John W and Julia had the following children: Irene who married Henry C. Kirkland, John H who apparently never married, Minnie Mae (my ggrandmother) who married Thomas Coker Cutchens, Janie who may have died before 1910, Mary who maried James Henry Peterson, Melliw who married Paten (Pate) Kirkland, David who married Vassie C. Brackin, William O. who married Althea Zera Riley. I would appreciate hearing from anyone connected to these familes. Does anyone know who Willis belonged to?
