Surnames: Mathews, Farrar Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YS.2ADI/2883 Message Board Post: Little Berry MATHEWS (1818-1886) moved to Abbeville, Henry Co, AL sometime in the late 1850s with his family. After his first wife Salina MARTIN died, he married Sarah Elizabeth FARRAR, 10 June 1860 in Abbeville. They appear on the 1860 census, with L.B. Mathews listed as a tavern keeper. I believe Sarah's parents to be Hardeway FARRAR and Sarah [?], who moved from Barbour Co AL to Abbeville in the 1850s and appear there on the 1860 census (Hardeway listed as a "Coach Trimmer"). Both families had moved elsewhere by 1870. I'm looking for any information about their time in Abbeville (circa 1855-1865).
