They lived in Henry County, Alabama. However, I only show one son James J. Ward born Nov 1, 1783. I wonder if Matilda was much younger than her husband. I have Joseph Ward's birthdate as 1763 South Carolina. James J. Ward married Malinda "Nancy" Ann Parrish which is the line that I am researching. There is some thought that Christopher Ward is the father of James J. Ward (some have his name as John James Ward). I have not documented this so it still needs much research. All of this needs more research but I think the birthdate for Joseph Ward may be correct. At least its a clue to where to look.
