Whitehurst and the names of his 7 orphaned children. One of them, Mary Whitehurst (older than 14 but a minor) became a ward of my ggg-grandmother, Mrs John W Adams "Allie", in 1863. The other 6 children were assigned to various relatives. I'm wondering if there is a familial link between the Whitehursts and my Allie Parker Adams? She was also widowed at this time. Does anyone know what became of Mary Whitehurst? Any descendants out there? Thanks in advance.
