3. Deborah: Well, you and I certainly need to compare notes! I have Camilla and Alfred Starling, but I have Camilla as the daughter of Daniel Jackson and ? Melton. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Bryant. Daniel and Matthew Jackson were the two brothers that cut roads into Henry County from Georgia in the early 1820's. I'm descended from Matthew's line. However, there was rumour of a third brother and I've long suspected that this 3rd brother was Henry Jackson. Tell me more and I'll share what I know! I am a descendant of Elias Strickland and Jiney A. (?) and a descendant of Joel Grantham and Catherine Adams. Both families lived in Henry County in the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. 2. Jeffrey L. Palmer
3. Hey Henry County Researchers: In an effort to even FURTHER improve the Henry County ALGenWeb webpage, the following GenConnect boards have been added: Bible Records, Bios, Deeds, Obits, Pensions, and Wills. Needless to say, they're empty at the moment, which is where you come in. If we each comb our files and enter some useful info, we'll soon have a nice collection of research material for the world to use! Please don't let your records gather dust, share them with all of your co-researchers! As always, I'm striving to make the Henry County Alabama webpage the best county page on the USGenWeb, but I can't do it alone. If you have suggestions, please feel free to message me. Jeffrey

2. James Holland
3. Hello, I'm Mike Holland from Colorado Springs, CO. I have been researching my father's family in south Alabama for over twenty years but until lately it has been a struggle since there are at least two HOLLAND families in Henry County that (as far as I can tell) are not related. My father was Lawrence Cleveland Holland, son of Perry Cleveland Holland and Lena Chapman. He was born in Graceville, Florida but raised in Hartford. The surnames that I am most interested in are: HOLLAND, CHAPMAN, JACOBS, TRAWICK, MIOCK, ANTLEY My great great grandfather was John Holland who married Mary Ann Antley in Henry County, Alabama in May of 1859. He served with Company A, 37th Alabama Infantry as did his father-in-law Emanuel Antley. Neither survived the War, John died in Oxford, Mississippi on in November of 1862 and Emanuel died in Vicksburg, Mississippi on July 2, 1863. If anyone has any information on this family or would like to exchange information, please contact me. Thanks Mike Holland James.M.Holland@compaq.com <mailto:James.m.holland@compaq.com>

3. Dear Genealogical Enthusiast, The University of Alabama’s Cartographic Research Laboratory is creating an atlas of Alabama cemeteries. The atlas, entitled the Historical Atlas of Alabama, Volume II: Cemetery Locations by County, is scheduled to be complete in the summer of 1999. We would like to know if you would be interested in reviewing the information we have collected thus far for your Alabama county or counties of interest. Obviously local experts on cemeteries are of great importance to the creation of a complete and accurate book. Please email us at cartlab@bama.ua.edu with your postal mailing address as well as the names of the counties if you would like to review our research. We would be happy to send you the information. Please know that this information comes at no obligation, we are simply interested in confirming the completeness and accuracy of our data. To find out more about us, please feel free to visit our new web site at: http://www.as.ua.edu/geography/cart_lab/ Thank you for your consideration, Craig Remington Director, Cartographic Research Lab Department of Geography, University of Alabama

1. Glover family of Henry County, Al.
2. I am researching the Glover family of Henry and Barbour County, Al. Eli S. Glover son of Thomas W. Glover. Eli S. Glover married Susan K. Glover in 1849 Randolph County, Ga. they had Nathan O. Glover, Franklin P. Glover, Tallulah Glover and John Glover. Susan was the daughter of John Paschal Glover of Barbour County, Al. She had a brother that lived in Dale county William Evans Glover. Edmund E. Glover another brother lived in Barbour County, and Nathan O' Neal Glover (brother)lived in Bullock County. My Nathan O' Neal is named for his uncle Nathan O' Neal .This family came to Al. from Crawford and Taylor Counties in Ga. Susan died abt 1857/8 and Eli remarried and had additional children. Eli S. Glover is last shown on the 1860 census report for Henry County. He enlisted in the civil war was captured at Ft. Morgan and died in Elmira "Hellmira" NY. I have a web site at http://www.fortunecity.com/millenium/oldemill/296/index.html I have hit a brick wall. Nathan O' Neal is my greatgrandfather he went to Ark. in 1991 and died there in 1896. His brother Franklin P. Glover is buried at St. Paul's church in Geneva County. They owned property around Lawrenceville. I would greatly appreciate any info on this family. Margie Glover-Daniels cc Macon County, Ga., Crawford County, Ga.,Indian Captives Page,
