As far as I know John's father was John J. Reynolds born in South Carolina. John Thomas is buried in Esto, FL.
Patti, The Henry County, Alabama books were published in about 5-6 volumes many years ago by the Henry County Historical Society. These books were once available for sale at the Abbeville Library; but, have since been placed at Abbeville Christian Academy--probably in the library and for sale. There probably aren't all volumes available so you would need to know the volume you want. It would be cheaper to order the books through interlibrary loan and then look through all of the volumes and photocopy the pages that you need. I don't have the names of the books though; sorry. Donna, I read your message about Henry County Heritage books to someone else. Would you mind if I asked you to check if John Thomas Reynolds is in them? He was born 2-26-1860. He was my husband's great-grandfather. He also married 11-10-1881 in Henry County to Amanda Caroline Jordan. Donna

Sharon, that would be great! There are several John W. Adams, but if I can find out Henry T. Adams' father, I think I could trace them in NC. I looked at the genweb page and found alot of possibilities. The other name is Pearl Doswell b. abt 1890 in Abbeville, dau. of Isaac Doswell b. Aug of 1847 and Evaline. Isaac was b. in AL, probably Henry Co. The whole family has always seemed to be in the Abbeville area. Isaac Doswell's father was Thomas Doswell b. abt 1800 in VA and his mother Elizabeth in GA abt 1806. John W. Adams and Pearl Doswell are my son's great grandparents. His grandma Myrtle Adams Caddell said her family 'lived in the hills', thats all she would tell me. In the 1900 Abbeville census Henry & Martha's children were: John W. b. Nov 1879 thomas Harris b. 12 Mar 1883 Jess M. b. Dec. 1886 Robert L. b. 11 Dec 1888 Henry E. b. Jul 1891 Thanks a bunch... I live in No. Calif. and sending for all those films gets expensive!! Donna If it would help you any, I have some Henry County Heritage books here. I can do a look up in them if you would like for me to. Do you know if any of the family would be listed. The books that I have are not indexed totally, as they are just remakes from the Historical Society in Henry County. But will be glad to look anything up for you if you think it will help ! Hi Patti, I did find that entry on the Henry Co., AL genweb page, but I'm not sure if he fits. Right now the John W. that I know for sure is mine was b abt 1880 in Henry Co., son of Henry T. b. abt 1852 also in Henry Co. and Henry's father was born in NC. I think John W. b. in NC 1921 MIGHT be Henry T.'s father and/or relative. I don't know Alley, but I did find an Ally Parker who got married in 1846, not sure if its her or not. I just need to prove this info and that it is Henry's kin. Thanks! Donna Penn Valley, CA PattiJean3@aol.com wrote: > While looking for my kin I found these Adams: John W. I got so excited when I read your message that I called you Donna instead of Sharon. So hello Sharon. .Patti
Oh Donna, I read your message about Henry County Heritage books. Would you mind if I ask you to see if Burch M. Roberts, or George T. Roberts, or William Burch Roberts are in them? These are my grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. Always is there an Edward Roberts, Baptist Ministered listed. Burch was also a Baptist minister, married to Harriett Hardwick, George T was married to Sara Ayers, and William Burch was married to Ann Jennie. Trying to find where they are buried and also who are Burt's parents. I saw one of the books about fifteen years ago by someone in S horterville. But I could not find where to purchase one. Would thank you so much if you would. Patti
Sharon, In these Henry County Heritage Books, did you find any Edmondsons (or other variations)? I am trying to find my great-grandfather Thomas Jerold Edmonson. He married Emily Stanford. My grandmother Nettie Edmonson was born in Headland, AL in 1870. If you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate it very much if you could check to see if you can find any Edmonsons for me. Thanks in advance, Julia Florida/USA
