I am interested in learning the names of the children of Ransom COVINGTON. He was a cousin of my thirdgreatgrandmother SOLOMAN. I believe, he was the first cousin of her father Thomas COVINGTON. Ransom's father Marshall was her grandfather COVINGTON'S brother. Marshall was born in 1800 and died in Clopton Alabama in 1879. Ransom moved to Henry County, but I do not know when. Le

As far as I know the only thing you might find online concerning the vets would be those that died in the war. Military records of the vets from WWII are more than likely at the Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, MO. They have stick regulations as to which individuals are able to obtain those records. Check out the NARA web site and it should tell you.
Could someone tell me how to find military records online? Thanks. Betty

The ladies in the Courthouse are very, very helpful and friendly but it is a small courthouse and nothing I saw was computerized. It was all big books with handwritten indexes. It was very time consuming. Have you considered checking the LDS records for scanned copies?

Clerk to get information on how to submit requests regarding obtaining copies of marriage certificates, I was told that they do not have enough staff to pull the records, make copies, and mail them. They suggested I either come in and do it myself or hire a genealogist to do it for me. Is there anyone on this list that lives close enough to Abbeville, familiar enough with getting copies of old marriage certificates that is willing to help me out. I am willing to pay a reasonable fee? I have about seven certificates, with dates and full names I am seeking. If you or anyone you know can help, please e-mail me privately [email protected]

Jane Roberson is shown as the mother-in-law of Dollie in 1900. John J. Roberson died defending his homeland during the War of Northern Aggression. Daisy is Dollie in both 1880 and 1900 but the names of her children show that she is the same person as Daisy. She was still a widow and named Roberson in 1930 in the hh of her son, Larkin. If she died in 1930 it is very unlikely that she remarried.
