The U.S. Census Mortality Schedule, 1850 - 1885, Greene County, Alabama, page 240, line 15, list a George Ann Soloman, black, 3/12 month baby pneumonia death, May 1870, Greene County, Alabama.
I do remember seeing this. There were other Solomon/Soloman families over the years in Greene Co. I am not sure if they were all related. There is a Perry Solomon who was born in 1795 and his wife living in Clinton in the 1880 census. It is recorded that Perry was born in North Carolina. In later census records there are Solomons living in Eutaw. As mentioned, family members can be separated depending on where they could find work. If Jordan Solomon died sometime after 1880, one of his neighbors may have bought the property. I also recall reading that there was a tornado in the mid 1880s in Boligee that destroyed several households. Thank you for bringing attention to this record.
