My Greene County ancestors were George Robinson and his wife Mary "Polly" Herndon Robinson. Both were born in Spotsylvania, VA where they also married in 1814. They moved to Greene County about 1820. Polly's brother, Thomas Hord Herndon, moved to Greene County about the same time. George and Polly's son Edwin Robinson married his first wife Caroline E. Sherine (spelling?) in 1836 in Greene County. Caroline died about 1853 (I believe near Boligee) shortly after Richard Tyree Robinson's (my G-Grandfather) birth. Edwin then married Mary Ward in 1858 and shortly after they moved to Smith County Mississippi. I am particularly interested in Caroline Sherine. Who were her parents? Where is she buried?
