    1. [ALGREENE] Solomon/Soloman family from Boligee
    2. Hello, I had posted some time back but would still love to receive some information on the family of Jordan Solomon/Soloman and wife Onie, who owned a farm in Boligee and are found with their sons in the 1870 and 1880 census in Greene Co. Solomon was also listed on the Non population schedules. This was an African American family who had 10 children. The sons were listed in the census records but not daughters, who may have been sent out to work. Jordan Solomon was born sometime around 1835. There is an early voter's registration record for him. By 1900, I could find no sign of him or his wife. One or two of the sons were still living in Greene Co. and I know one daughter was married and living in Tuscaloosa. I recall reading that there was a tornado? that devastated parts of Boligee in the 1880a but would love more information as to why this farm appears to have been decimated, I would also love to know where to access land records to determine how this farm was purchased. Finally, if Jordan and Onie did not live to 1900, where might a record be found. It is possible that Onie could have been widowed and remarried but everything is so sketchy. Thanks to anyone who might provide more history on Boligee at this time and possible places to check for this family Bev W -----Original Message----- From: Dee via ALGREENE <[email protected]> To: Dee Pavey <[email protected]> Cc: Dee <[email protected]> Sent: Wed, Jan 2, 2019 1:30 am Subject: [ALGREENE] Mail List Admin Post Please Read Hi everyone!
