    1. Re: [ALGREENE] Can someone give me the County site address
    2. Linda Harris
    3. Thank you for the additional site. I am researching John Madison and all of his siblings, which was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, but were in Greene County. John and Peyton is buried in what is now Hale County. I have a Williams line in the area. I have an early Key and Grizzle lines in the area. It's really a county with no disasters, can't understand why the lack of actively. There was a Genealogy Society when I visited years ago with locked files to the public and they didn't accept donations which I carried. While I research in so many area at that time the going price for a copy was 50 cents. Greene Count was a $1.00. It was almost they didn't want the genealogy income. I will not repeat on this list what I was told. Anyone who is a member is special, we need to look at what we have. Greene County was a large area so many years ago. Today it is a poor area, mostly black with no interest. We didn't find a motel so we came home.
