Hi, I am a new subscriber to the list and hope someone can help me. Can someone tell me what township or where Hairston, AL was located? I know that it is listed in Hale Co., but also know that prior to that, it was in Greene Co. This is a key to breaking down a very stubborn brick wall that I have worked on for many years. I see also that there is a river that divides the 2 counties.... wondering if this could be a river where a drowning might have occurred [raft/boating accident] abt 1827? Thanks for any help!
