I have been searching for my husband's GGGrandfather who was born in Alabama and lived in the Boligee area. I know that my husband's GGGrandmother married Joseph T. Brown Jr. 27 Jun 1866 in Greene, Alabama, USA because I have a copy of their Marriage License. She was living with two children in Greene Co in the 1870 census but there was no record of her husband. She moved to Texas shortly after with the young son and remarried. I have found a Joshua T. Brown Jr. and Sr. and a map showing their land. There are no other Jos. T. Browns that fit. So I would like to find out more about Joshua T. Brown Sr. who was born in Georgia. I am hoping someone has information on this family while in Greene County. Thanks in advance for any help.
