    3. Have you looked at familysearch? They have many records there however I don't know about those years. I have discovered that my husband's great great grandfather was a Jordan Soloman, who appears to have been born circa 1835 and is found living in Boligee in the 1870 and 1880 census records. It appears that by 1880, Jordan Soloman, who was African American, owned his farm and had several sons. There also appear to have been two other Soloman families who are perhaps related. One is the family of a Primus Soloman and the other is the family of an Alfred Soloman, who was a blacksmith. > > Is there a Historical Society or county courthouse where early records for Boligee may be kept? > > > Thanks so much!! > > > Bev W > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >

    2. I have just started to look at the Familysearch records. I was thrilled to finally find a death cert for my husband's great grandmother who listed her father as Jordon Solomon, of Boligee, Greene Co. Ala. I have some information from Ancestry so hopefully, we will find a bit more with Familysearch. Thanks so much!!
