    2. I am looking for more information on the Mary Permento family that I found on the 1860 Greene County (Havana) census. The correct spelling of the name is Permenter. The family seems to have started and stopped there. There is no census listing of her before or after 1860. If she was a widow at age 23 with 3 small children I thought she would have remarried; however here again, I can't find it. Any suggestions of where to look will be greatly appreciated.     3. Have you looked in the 1870 Hale County Census for her. Hale County was formed in 1867 from parts of Bibb, Greene, Perry and Tuscaloosa Counties. Havana became part of Hale County.
