Morning All! There hasn't been much activity of late and wondered how all is doing. There is currently 146 members, a substantial number to be sure. Speaking a new activity, Kim, (who BTW is the CC for Greene County) is currently a member of this list and while checking her webpage, came across several new files transcribed by several volunteers. She also has added her own query message board and has archived queries from this list from 2004. Kim; why haven't you mentioned the new files you have acquired by others to your site to the list? As a subscriber to this list and as a service to others here, it would be of interest to them to know of what is happening (genealogically speaking of course.) Also, is this a new trend? Having others do the transcribing of data to your webpage? It appears that no host for websites sponsored by USGW do any volunteering of transcribing data for the researcher, but have the researcher do the transcribing for them. Tell me, just what does a county co-ordinator do? I am sure other subscribers to this list would like to know also. I am not picking on you Kim, I am only trying to get a conversation going.
