Hi All! Has anyone ever heard of the Town of Washington probably while AL was still MS territory? Here is an excerpt from a document received, written by Gov. David Holmes while Al was still MS territory IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, "I have caused these letters to be made patent and the seal of the Territory to be hereunto affixed. GIVEN under my hand at the Town of Washington." I have tried accessing the USGI mapping site all day and can't get through. Any ideas?? Thanks!
