About a proposed new logo for the AlGenWeb...I WAS thinking about trying to design one until I just saw Mildred Stinson Brown's design. As soon as I saw this, I knew that no one could improve on this one. I think it says it all and when we vote, this will be my selection. It has the State emblems, motto and the old phrase "Heart of Dixie", which has even been used on auto tags. Good work, Mildred!! I think the one with the "heart" background is great. Wouldn't change anything on it except maybe the color of the heart (from gray to maybe red?). Also like the one with the Great Seal --EXCEPT that what is I suppose to be the Cross of St. Andrews (on the Alabama flag) ends up looking like the object has been "X-ed" out.
