My great grandmother was Gertrude L. Alfred (married Jack High) and was from Houston County Texas. I believe she had siblings with the names of Sallie (married Phillip Morgan), Mary (married JB Beard), and Richard (married Ellzora Herndon). Their father's name was David Alfred. All of this information is just word of mouth. Anyway, I though that maybe Sallie was a nickname for Sarah Ann. Any information that you might have to connect Gertrude and Sarah would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
