We've run into a virtual dead end when researching the family beyond that. I found a record in the 1851 Canadian Census that lists a 15 year old Richard Alfred, , , his older sister Ann Alfred (17) and their 42 year old mother. Digging a little deeper I found through Ann that there were other siblings. Does anyone out there have information on this line of the Alfred Family?? There is evidently another Richard Alfred who was born about the same time (Mid 1830's) who ended up in Australia. I think there has been a "Meshing" of information though.
