    1. [ALFAYETT-L] Land Deals
    2. My Pulliams, Wm.P., Nicholas, and John each bought 120 acres in Fayette Co AL on June 1, 1858. John bought 119.545 and Wm and Nicholas bought approx. 40 and 80 each. Could someone share with me WHY. Was the land cheap? Was it actually given to them for military service? Any guesses why these families uprooted from Franklin Co TN and moved to Fayette Co. together? Actually the Father seems to have moved to Fayette first. He acquired land in Fayette Co on June 1, 1856. However, a later census says Nicholas had a son, James B- in AL in 1847. I think the earliest that any Pulliams moved into AL was David Pulliam into St.Clair Co. on April 10,1827 and a John Pulliam acquired land Oct. 1,1834 in Pickens Co. I have no idea that these are all related though. However the bunch that moved in 1858 arte either three brothers or Father and two sons, which is what I believe to be true.. I know, I have lots of QUESTIONS and not enough answers. Help. Bill Bentley
