    1. [ALFAYETT] Massey families, 1820-1839
    2. I am looking for information about Massey (Massy/Massa) families in Fayette County, AL from about 1820 until 1839. Known individuals include Job Massey, Joseph Massey (mine), and Samuel Massey, as well as a Christiana Massey (Land purchase), and Thomas J. Massey who was probably living with Job. Samuel went south in AL. Job, Joseph, and Thomas moved to Attala County, MS, by the 1840 census. I believe that Joseph, Job, and Thomas were brothers. I am looking for any records that might tie these men together. Joseph's first wife was Catherine Ray. Her father and other Ray relatives were living in Fayette County at the same time according to the land descriptions about 1839. Several other families, including McCool, were living in Fayette County and moved to Attala County, MS. Barbara Massey Ferrell Ferrell, Stokes, Hyde, Jackson, Snider, and others. http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=barjeanf Massey, Clarkson, Henderson, Casey, Lenoir, McGrew, and others. http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=barjeanm http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/f/e/r/Barbara-Ferrell/index.html
