His widow stated that he was of St. Mary's Co.. MD and after the war they removed to Loudon Co., VA., then to NC, then to Adair Co., KY and later to AL. He received pension #19813 for 15 months service in the MD Line under Capt. Smallwood. They had lived at Morgan Co., AL since about 1819. She applied as widow of Francis Holley, Pension # R10549.
