    3. Hello Carol, I think it was 1908-1912 when they started keeping death records. You can find them in Herb & Jeanie Newell's Fayette County cemetery records if your ancester put up a readable tombstone in 1898. You can find them in wills, if they left a will, at the court house. I have the cemetery listings by Newells. Luck.
