Other surnames included will be BRAZIL, HOLCOMB, BERRYHILL and DUDLEY. It has been difficult to find burial records for them. Is there a cemetery index for Fayette Co., AL? John was the son of John Kuykendall b. abt. 1818 in NC and Armenta, b. abt. 1829 in GA. John L. and Sarah were listed in both the Marion and Fayette Co. Census for 1880 on the same day, June 17. They must have lived literally on the county line. The data was exactly the same for the parents, but the children's data varied greatly. In the Marion Census they had 5 children, in the Fayette Census they had only 2 and only one matched up at all with a child in the Marion Census. In the 1900 Fayette Co. Census it said 8 children had been born to Sarah and 8 were living, but including the child that only appeared in one census, that didn't match up with the other census taken the same day, they would have 12 children. Additionally, two children were born prior to their marriage so perhaps two were his by a previous marriage. Does anyone know about that? This is a pretty confusing mess!
