My GGG-Grandparents were Thomas LEE and Elizabeth C. STRONG BINION. Thomas was born ca. 1799 in Georgia and Elizabeth C. STRONG was born 07-16-1804 in Georgia. Elizabeth C. STRONG was the daughter of William M. STRONG, and grand-daughter of Johnson STRONG. All of whom ended up in Fayette Co., AL around 1820. Elizabeth C. STRONG married first on 08-24-1820, to William BINION, Jr. They had 2 children: Christopher B. BINION b. 09-20-1822 and Jane Elizabeth BINION b. 11-12-1823. Unfortunately, William BINION Jr. was killed in a gunfight on the streets of Tuscaloosa, on 05-17-1823. This was about 6 months prior to the birth of his daughter. Elizabeth C. STRONG BINION then married my GGG-Grandfather, Thomas LEE, on 12-22-1825. We presume this was in Tuscaloosa, Co., although we can find no marriage license. These dates are all recorded in the Family Bible of Elizabeth Strong Lee. They had 11 children together, all born in Tuscaloosa: 1.
