I would like to know your sources for his parents. I've seen James and Rosanna on some lines, but there hasn't been any source info, and I wonder if the myth is perpetuated. The below site has a 40 generation chart on it. It mentions a James Robert Alexander (gen 37), but married to Margaret McNitt and then her sister Abigail, not a Rosanna Chambers.
