Jacob & Serepta Shelby parents of Penina Shelby (b) 1813, (m) 1830 to Henry Toulson and had 7 children. The youngest child Victoria A Toulson, my great great grandmother, was born in 1848. Her father died in 1850 and her mother was left with the family to raise. James, her brother, (m) 1854 to Louisa B LeVever and together they raised Victoria with their children. I have searched through census over and over again. Found a census with Penina living with Victoria & her 2nd husband. Have copies of Victoria's divorce papers with 1st husband Alfred Hughlett and it mentions her mother in them. This is what I have found, but no parents for Serepta.
