JOE F. ALEXANDER Speedway, IN Joe F. Alexander, 93, formerly of Stewartstown [PA], died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Wishard Health Services in Indianapolis, Ind. He was the husband of the late Jeannette Alexander. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 6, 2007, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc. 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the mortuary, with the Rev. Donald Belcher officiating. Interment will be in Stewartstown Cemetery, Stewartstown. He was born February 19, 1914, in Marysville, Ohio, the son of the late James H. and Lucy May [Jackman] Alexander. Mr. Alexander waorked as a construction supervisor for the Bechtel corporation in San Francisco, Calif. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #204 in Salinas, Calif., member of the consistory of Fresno, Calif., the 500 Old Timers of Indianapolis, Ind., Lifetime member of the USAC, and a member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church of Street, Md. He is survived by two step-grandchildren; five nieces; and many close friends. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Scott Alexander; two brothers, Carroll J. and Rolland H. Alexander; one stepson; and one stepdaughter.
