I am also looking for the parents of James. I have researched Archibald Alexander as a potential, but the dates don't work out. One on-line researcher suggests that a Mordecai (Moricida?) Alexander may have been James' father. I haven't found any new information on that yet. I have a copy of James' will from Madison County if you want any information from that. I descend from James' son William (b. 1759) who moved to Elbert County, Georgia, in the mid-1770's. What would you like to know about William's descendancy? I've got lots of information. My line from William is through his son Willis. Willis' son Newdigate O. Alexander (N.O.) fathered my great-grandfather Robert. My grandfather was Henry.
